Dan capped his 2009/10 season with the winning try in the last seconds of the Guinness Premiership Final win over Saracens, his third league title in four years. He had also scored a decisive try in the Premier Rugby A League Final as he returned from injury during the run-in to the end of the season. The 2009/10 season also saw Dan become the 200th player to make 100 first-team starts for Leicester Tigers. He started the Guinness Premiership and Heineken Cup Finals in 2008/09 and was named in the 2008/09 England Elite squad, starting both summer Tests against Argentina. Tigers Players’ Player of the Year in 2006/07, he made his international debut for England against Wales in a World Cup warm-up fixture then claimed a place in the matchday 22 for five of England’s World Cup matches and played in the final.
