| Matt Hampson TrustHello and welcome to Matt's new web site. We've now moved all elements of the website under one roof, and we hope this makes for a more enjoyable web browsing experience.
Now never one to idol time away Matt keeps himself very busy, this year saw the first Walk4matt and the planning for next years walk has already started. He writes a weekly column in the Leicester Mercury Sporting Green, coaches the Oakham School 1st XV forwards with ex Tigers captain Dosser Smith, attends every home Tigers and England match and is to be seen at many sporting dinners around the country supporting many charities. Despite his injuries, Matt remains the most positive and inspirational young man it has been my pleasure to know and I am honoured to be a friend and supporter of his Trust.
It has always been Matt's intention since his accident to work, help and support spinally injured people and it is with a great deal of pride that I can announce that through Matt's efforts Ladbrokes donated £15,000 to Spinal Research and £5000 to his Trust Fund and with even greater pride, Matthew is Patron of the charity SpecialEffect, this charity enables people with serious disabilities to gain access to entertainment and leisure technology through specialist services.
This web site will enable Matt to keep us all in touch with what is happening in his life, and will be the vehicle for us all to help Matt and his many other interests.
Roy Jackson Chairman, Matt Hampson Trust Fundraising Committee. Leicester Tigers Director.
